I was present at Ground Zero recently when you met with the families and loved ones of the 9/11 tragedy. My daughter was lost in Tower 2, and 10 years later, the loss is no less painful.
Please accept my personal thanks and appreciation for your efforts to seek, and eliminate Osama bin Laden, murderer of 3,000 innocent people, and primary source of world terrorism.
My gratitude extends to our intelligence community and especially the brave and dedicated military team that executed the successful elimination of this scourge.
I take issue, however, with your decision to withhold visible, physical evidence that bin Laden is dead.
For 10 years, we have been viewing pictures and video depicting people jumping off the burning towers, mangled and mutilated bodies of military personnel engaged in the resulting war in Iraq and Afghanistan, literally tens of thousands of bodies of our troops returning home in caskets from ensuing wars.
We have been inundated for 10 years with tragic, horrifying and explicit images of our people and other innocent victims being tortured and murdered by this monster, and my opinion is that the world should see and validate his execution.
